Continental Board of Trustees (BOT)

  • Monthly Meetings with focus on supporting the activities of the following committee:
    • Grow NIDOA Base – 2022 Goals
      • Committee Members;
      • Add 3 Chapters in USA*
      • Add 1 chapter in Canada
      • Add 1 Chapter in Brazil.
      **Welcoming factional chapters back into the fold will be seen as meeting the target.
    • Strategic Partnerships and Giving Back to Nigeria – 2022 Goals
      • Committee Members;
      • Partner with 2 Nigerian Professional National Bodies in USA on socio-political and economic development of Nigeria.
      • Partner with 2 local Professional Bodies in Nigeria on socio-political and economic development of Nigeria.
      • Partner with 1 Nigerian Professional National body in Brazil on socio-political and economic development of Nigeria.
      • Partner with 1 Nigerian Professional National body in Canada on socio-political and economic development of Nigeria.
      • Develop a membership/professional database.
      • Initiate a strategy to execute Nigeria diaspora professional database in North America.
    • NIDOA Image Redemption – 2022 Goals
      • Committee Members;
      • Issue 4 Publicity Videos every quarter.
      • Develop a Welcome Package/Publicity for New and Prospective Members.
      • Issue Quarterly Newsletter.
      • Update NIDOA website with content.
    • Compliance, Systems and Processes and Reconciliation – 2022 Goals
      • Committee Members;
      • Develop NIDOA Office Instruments (mailboxes, email, WhatsApp, etc.)
      • Review relevant sections of the bylaw based on current learnings and present for review at 2022 AGM for approval.
      • Set up an electoral committee for approval at the 2022 AGM.
      • Maintain 501c.3 status.
      • Put a system in place to certify new chapters
      • Bi-Annual Education and Orientation of members on NIDOA systems and processes.
      • Identify new processes/systems to be put in place and existing processes/systems that need to be improved and present for approval at 2022 AGM.
    • Fund Raising - 2022 Goals (identify members and also call for members to join the committee)
      • Ensure compliance to annual dues collection and remittances in compliance with the bylaw.
      • Prepare Annual Budget
      • Writing Grants for NIDOA Program
      • Identify different institutions to raise funds.
      • Prepare and submit at least 3 applications to raise funds
  • BOT/BOD roadshows to engage chapters. Participate in chapter meetings at least once a year.
  • Annual National/Continental Virtual Engagement and Networking of Members
  • Addition of At-Large-Members to the BOT in Q1, 2022.
  • Work Closely with the NIDOA Young Professionals to Align and Execute 2022 Goals.
  • Identify 2022 AGM venue and date in January.
  • Certify National BODs, and ratify District and Chapter Certification by National BODS.
  • Diaspora Day – Abuja, Nigeria.

Country Board of Directors (BOD)

1. District and Chapter certification.
2. Put a strategy in place to address Nigerian Passport Issuance Issues and other topical issues at the local level.
3. Working with the BOT committees to execute identified goals
4. Quarterly workshop of NIDOA leaders
5. Annual Trade and Business forum /Summit
6. Establish NIDOA Business Directory

Chapters

1. Working with the BOT committees to execute identified goals.
2. Monthly meetings with 15-30-minute professional talk on topical issues by inviting experts.
3. Annual Professional Dinner Event
4. Monthly Update and Reporting of Membership to BOD.
5. Establish system on annual dues collection and issuance of receipt to members for tax purpose
